This course aims to encourage the national review, adoption and use of two international non-sewered sanitation standards, ISO 30500 and ISO 24521. It also aims to expand the reach of these standards and increase the collaboration with WASH sector stakeholders such as relevant ministries, local governments, NGOs and the private sector.
This course offers a deeper understanding of the ISO 30500 and ISO 24521 to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 6.2 and 6.3. It serves for health improvement, reduction of environmental impacts and offers the necessary and feasible options along with the development of new technologies and solutions, for users and communities, to aid in the improvement of life standards for vulnerable people.
The course will be divided into four modules which include mandatory and recommended readings and will be offered in three languages, English, French and Chinese. This is a free self-placed course which must be completed before November 15, 2021.
